About

our nursery in New Ollerton

Our New Ollerton Nursery is a warm and friendly setting with a home from home feel; we are open 7:30am-6:00pm, Monday – Friday with a variety of sessions available.

We are located in a little village with Mansfield Town on a bus route. We offer childcare for children 0-5 years with dedicated rooms for each age group, this gives the children appropriate learning experiences tailored to their age. We have a large enclosed garden area which all of the children can freely explore along with a range of activities. Within the village, we have close connections with the library and often carry out visits with the children, we also have a supermarket, forest & park close by that we visit regularly.

Our children are served seasonal, healthy cooked lunches that are cooked fresh on-site, every child is offered healthy snacks and we also cater to any dietary requirements and allergies.

Our Nursery follows the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum supporting all areas of your child’s development from babies to school age.

Babies

3 months to 2 years

We also offer flexibility depending upon the age and stage of each child.

We also offer a separate sleep room so our babies can have a quiet nap when needed.

Toddlers

 2 to 3 years

This room is large and lively, full of enthusiasm and learning.

We use a curiosity approach to encourage the children and aim to minimise the use of plastic and focus on natural resources.

Pre-school

Our pre-school leads out onto an exceptionally large garden area that our pre-school children can have free flow access to.

Ensuring children leave our setting prepared for the world around them.

FAQ's

We do a variety of activities to keep our children engaged and exposed to a variety of scenarios. We have mud kitchens, sensory areas, story time and a lot more crammed into their everyday play. Make sure to find out more about these and other activities which are packed full of educational and developmental goodness.

We use a communication system to keep you updated, you download an app and get updates about your little ones day, from when they have been to the toilet, to what activities they have done that day and everything in-between. Their educational plan will also sit on this system for you to view. Giving you the confidence and clarity that your childs well cared for and having an amazing day!

We venture out into the big wide world of the local community to immerse our children into the everyday life of the local community, this will give them sense of achievement, inclusion and hopefully set them on the road to independence. The nursery can give more specific details as it varies depending on where the nursery is situated.

Keeping all of our children safe is our top priority! We aim for every single staff member to be fully trained in paediatric first aid, meaning they are confident to act when needed.

Children get poorly, it’s a fact! Whenever this happens we will be in touch with you to discuss what we can do or if you need to come in and pick them up. Please ask to see our policy if needed.

Food is the most important part of the day for any child. We have Autumn/Winter and Spring/Summer menus which are packed full of nutritious and delicious meals. We support any dietary requirements, please make sure to inform our team before your start date.

We will do everything we can with our expert knowledge to ensure your child has a stress free transition to nursery. Every child is different, so we make our settling in periods tailored to them, please discuss this with our team.
